Note to senators: if you don't want the job, then give it up and let someone else do it

The electorate is going to draw its own conclusion on whether the senators should continue to exist.

Current and previous senates have hardly done their cause for retention a whole heap of good.

The primary argument being put forward for retention is to enable reform – a categorical vote of no confidence in the Seanad in its present form.
