Fionnan Sheahan: Team Aras keeps the President Higgins show firmly on the road

Since taking up office, Michael D has put his own stamp on his new home, writes Fionnan Sheahan, Group Political Editor

TIMEKEEPING wasn't a known virtue of the Higgins family. Moving to Aras an Uachtarain changed all that.

"The great shock was when he was told he had to be ready at 20 past 12, he had to be ready.

"Michael D would be a bit disorganised. His public image as a slightly eccentric, university professor, well, he is pretty much like that," an old friend of the President's from the Labour Party says.
