Taoiseach Brian Cowen's masterplan to shift the debate on the economic recovery went down and sank to the bottom of the River Shannon on Saturday morning.
Cowen was on the banks of Lough Ree in the Hodson Bay Hotel in Athlone for a Fianna Fail regional conference. Armed with another 7,000 word opus, he delivered a speech on 'The Government's Jobs Strategy: A Turning Point for the Irish Economy'.
