David Robbins: 'Oh dad, this weather is really snow big deal'

It was snowing. To borrow a line from James Joyce's The Dead, "snow was general all over Ireland". Or at least the bit of it we could see.

"We haven't had snow like it for 30 years," says Mary Jane in Joyce's story.

Well, we have. We had it last year, though a lot seems to have changed since then.
