David Robbins: An archer in the family? Take a bow, Lady Grace
There are things no one told me about fatherhood. That, for instance, I would come over all emotional at movies about kids, or that I could be undone by a cry of "Daddee!" when I came in the door from work.
Or that I would harbour a powerful desire for my child to enjoy the things I used to enjoy when I was small.
The fact that I was a boy and my five-year-old is a girl does not seem to affect this drive to replicate elements of my childhood in hers.
