THE Secret Millionaire reflects all that is great about public service broadcasting. At least that is what RTE said last week.
More than 600,000 people watched its opening episode on Monday night. Millionaire John Concannon from Galway handed over three cheques to causes in West Dublin, where he had been working "undercover" as a volunteer looking for people to help.
But what exactly makes The Secret Millionaire public service broadcasting? If TV3 screened it, would it not be a public service?
