THE founder of charity Bothar is angry about the damage being done to the sector by the salary top-up controversy at the CRC -- just not angry enough to divulge how much the group's CEO is being paid.

Disproving the truism that there's no such thing as bad publicity, Pete Ireton appeared on 'Morning Ireland' yesterday to reveal that funding to Bothar is down 50pc since the CRC scandal hit the headlines.

He professed himself to be aghast at the use of donations to pay for exorbitant salaries at CRC, decrying the farrago as "a disgrace" which was having a ruinous effect on the entire sector.
