The way this State treats our vulnerable young is sickening

The state of Temple Street Children’s Hospital is little short of a scandal. It is a 130-year-old facility and very much showing its age.

YOU can blame the fact that children cannot vote for their shameful treatment in this country. Spending a week with a sick child in Temple Street Hospital brings into sharp focus just how despicable our treatment of young people is in this State.

Cherish the children, my foot. Parts of Temple Street are so run down that it is little more than a relic of the Victorian age.

"I haven't been in Temple Street for about 20 years," one woman said to me, when asking about my daughter.
