HEALTHCARE is dropping down the list of affordable priorities for many families, as people delay or put off essential visits to their GPs and other healthcare providers.
The recession is forcing thousands of people to stop paying their private healthcare premiums. Others are sharply reducing the amount of money they are paying for their private health insurance by reducing the benefits.
One alternative for those with no private health cover or for those who have radically reduced the level of their cover is a hospital cash plan, such as those offered by registered charity HSF Health.
