In the end, the euro will have to be backed by something that looks, walks and quacks like a eurozone government, whatever we choose to call it
THERE was just the glimmer yesterday of how things might get better; but it could all still go horribly wrong.
Financial markets staged a bit of a rally, on hopes that France and Germany might be about to bury their differences and move rapidly on an overall package to save the euro.
