Brendan Keenan: New NTMA chief gets €490,000 salary plus bonus
The new chief executive of the National Treasury Management Agency (NTMA), John Corrigan, has a salary of €490,000 a year, with a possible bonus of up to €390,000. The NTMA revealed the details a week after the Department of Finance released details on his predecessor Dr Michael Somers under a Freedom of Information request.
Just before that, Dr Somers revealed that he had received a salary of about €565,000 last year, plus a payment of €35,000 as a member of the National Pensions Reserve Fund Commission and a bonus for 2008 of €403,000, making a total of €1m.
Details of the salaries of NTMA executives have been kept confidential. Mr Corrigan has decided that details of his payments should be published in the NTMA annual report, the agency said.
