There were days when I was bursting to tell the tale of longing, regret , passion and loss but I held on. Just about.

I knew I would have to hold back the story of the most famous football ever for the eve of the Kerry-Dublin All-Ireland final. The ball deserved no less.

The story is set in small pub in Kerry, mine, and I am interviewing our esteemed colleague Eugene McGee about his life in the GAA.
