Billy Keane: Quality of Irish sport proves to world we're no longer a beaten people

In August we had the Kerry and Dublin classic. September gave us the glorious hurling finals between Cork and Clare and now in deepest November, Ireland and the All Blacks played out one of the most exciting rugby games of all time.

The fact my team was on the losing end of two of those games was heartbreaking. But Kerry and Ireland gave their all.

There have been recriminations and blame games, mostly instigated and activated by those who lack a soul or any understanding of the nobility of the cause or the fragility of humankind.
