USC is reason high earners carry less of burden

AT first glance it looks like high earners are making merry while the rest are suffering during this downturn.

There has been a rise of 2,800 in the number of people earning €200,000 or more since the economy hit the rocks back in 2007.

And these high earners are getting away with carrying a smaller burden in terms of the income tax take of the State.
