Nóirín O'Sullivan is the great survivor. As another Dáil term ends, she's still standing.

That's despite many calls by TDs for the Garda Commissioner's resignation as the force continues to be mired in controversies.

It could be argued that the list of challenges she has faced in recent months is unprecedented, but for the fact that Garda management has been fighting fires for years now.
