This crisis is a good time for a new start
YOU may have read Brendan Keenan's interview with Niall FitzGerald in this newspaper last week. FitzGerald, born in Sligo and brought up in Limerick, is in the top bracket of British businessmen, one of the many Irishmen and Irishwomen who have succeeded outside this country.
One of his remarks in the interview struck me with particular force. He said that there must be prosecutions of some of those who have destroyed our banking system. People must be brought to account.
He thereby echoed hundreds of thousands, myself included, who have called for the same thing, but one might have thought that the views of someone like Niall FitzGerald would make even our dopey Government sit up and take notice.
