Similarity of barbaric injuries raises fresh questions

THE jailing of Walter Morrissey, who subjected a vulnerable woman to an horrific sex assault, has raised fresh questions about the death of his former partner.

Five years ago Lorraine White, a 42-year-old grandmother, died from massive internal bleeding, the official cause of her death recorded as misadventure.

Morrissey (70) claimed that he found his then partner collapsed in her bathroom, apparently after placing a 10-inch copper pipe inside her vagina.
