Kim Bielenberg recalls meeting Jimmy Savile in 2001 at the Central Remedial Clinic, now at the centre of controversy over salary top-ups
The last time I stepped through the doors of the Central Remedial Clinic in Dublin I was there to meet Jimmy Savile.
He was just one of the colourful figures who was connected with the treatment centre for people with disabilities over the decades.
These have included the chief fundraiser from the 1970s, Charles Haughey, and, of course, its aristocratic founder and charismatic driving force, the sometime royal emissary Lady Valerie Goulding.
