Sam Smyth: Kenny will try appealing to EU heads and not hearts

ON Thursday, Enda Kenny will celebrate Day Eight of his first 100 Days in office with US President Barack Obama at a St Patrick's Day party in the White House.
He will sit as an equal alongside another head of government and, if called upon for a party piece, the Taoiseach will be able to recite from memory the Gettysburg Address.
His age-defying demeanour gives him the appearance of an all-American boy -- but Mr Kenny's needs to woo Europe more than charm America.
