Right plan is needed – not more dithering
After the time-consuming controversy of the abortion legislation and the worthy distraction of the EU presidency, Taoiseach Enda Kenny is putting the focus clearly on jobs.
Jobs, jobs and jobs will be the Coalition's priority for the second half of the year. Today the Cabinet will hold a special meeting on jobs, where 10 different items will be discussed, all aimed at stimulating employment.
This afternoon, Mr Kenny, Tanaiste Eamon Gilmore, Social Protection Minister Joan Burton and Education Minister Ruairi Quinn will launch the Government's new policy statement on Labour Market Activation.
