WILL the French authorities achieve what the Irish could not, and finally give closure to the family of murdered film maker Sophie Toscan du Plantier?
This is the hope of her parents, Georges and Marguerite Bouniol, following the High Court's endorsement last Friday of a European Arrest Warrant seeking the extradition of Ian Bailey, 53, a final-year law student in University College Cork.
Mr Bailey has been associated with this case since the beginning but has consistently maintained his innocence.
