Out there: Red-faced over the bare-faced cheek

Some time ago, when my daughter was younger, she asked me was there anything else she should know about her ancestry.

"Anything else? What are the ones you know about?" I enquired. Well, apart from long labour, hairy legs and ugly people in photographs, she informed me.

The subject never came up again, but I can now tell her about the high colouring.
