David Cameron, the British coalition premier, thinks Margaret Thatcher was the greatest prime minister of the 20th century and he is throwing a party at Downing Street on Wednesday to celebrate her 85th birthday.
Most of the 150 top Tories who will be there would rank Winston Churchill ahead of her in the greatness rankings but they know that Thatcher and her attached isms have proved their staying power as one of the most controversial and influential brand images in UK politics.
