Nation needs to regain its soul before more are lost

Six months ago Kevin drove to a river bank. He placed weights around his neck and body. This was so his body wouldn't force itself up from the riverbed. Nearby, he left a note for his family. As a businessman and employer he had that morning been unsuccessful in securing loans for his company. They found Kevin's body later that evening. We had spoken about doing a music CD together. Kevin was a kind, warm-hearted individual who no longer felt he had meaning or purpose in this 'nation of ours'.
