The presidential campaign has been variously described as controversial to one of the dirtiest on record.
But with 14 years since the last presidential election -- and with only six contested previously -- people forget that every race for the Park has been fraught with controversy, accusations, and mud-slinging.
Accusations of mistresses, raising swastikas, and absconding from military duty were par for the course.
