TAOISEACH Brian Cowen was talking about being outside the GPO to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Easter Rising in 2016. That was almost three weeks ago. Then Fine Gael was licking its wounds after the departure of George Lee. That was two weeks ago.
But then came two resignations which have taken away even the slightest hint of stability from the Government. Green Party Senator Deirdre de Burca got the ball rolling by quitting in a fit of pique at being denied her dream job in Europe.
