Michael Brennan: Hospital row shows we are bereft of leadership

OUR former Taoiseach Bertie Ahern walked out of his Dail office on Setanta Place yesterday and into his 05 Mercedes state car.
His garda driver pulled off and turned right on the corner on to Kildare Street. He drove less than 100 metres, put on his left indicator and brought Mr Ahern through the gates of Leinster House. It was a fine day, lest anyone think the chauffeur was called upon because of the weather. Who would have thought we were short of money?
But the furious row in the Dail yesterday about the situation in Tallaght Hospital shows that we are also short of something else -- leadership.
