The mysterious Sean Gallagher is turning out to be a character straight out of a John le Carre novel.

Even George Smiley, the spymaster tasked with uncovering a mole in 'Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy' would be intrigued by a black-belt holder who has swapped identities repeatedly.

And he would be fascinated by the latest document to emerge -- a letter detailing Agent Gallagher's service for Fianna Fail over 30 years.
