Michael Brennan: 'Cute-hoorism' eclipses Enda's cross-border plan

FINE Gael leader Enda Kenny was not best pleased yesterday when his cross-border forum report was overshadowed by a broadside from a rebel backbencher.

He had spent an hour explaining his plans for the region in some detail, although he had to constantly caution that he was not promising any extra money.

But, when it came to the question-and-answer session afterwards, the last thing he wanted to talk about was Lucinda Creighton's allegations of "cute hoorism" in Fine Gael and the party's acceptance of corporate donations from property developers.
