THOSE pesky vuvuzelas were just not quite in keeping with the occasion. Hunting horns may have been given the green light, but the foghorn-esque noise redolent of lazy hazy summer evenings spent in front of the box was swiftly dealt a red card.
For the Failte Ireland Dublin Horse Show has been built firmly on decades of tradition.
And the age-old customs brought with them a sense of relief, which was palpable in the air above Ballsbridge this week, as the horse lorries rolled back into town for the 137th show in the history of the event.
