Everyone wanted to know if the tete-a-tete between the Ryanair boss and the Tanaiste -- When Mikey Met Mary -- would have a happy ending. But there was to be none.

On Sunday, February 14, Michael O'Leary unleashed a Valentine's Day massacre on Mary Coughlan over the issue of 300 engineering jobs in Dublin Airport and a large cavernous space called hangar six. And the Tanaiste has been in the trenches ever since.

Back and forth went various accusations of 'he says, she says' between the warring duo -- a complicated war of words which raised more questions than it answered.
