Lise Hand: The Great Endini and the Anglo €22bn vanishing act
IT was almost as if last week's political Eyjafjallajokull hadn't happened. For it was very much a case of business as usual at Leaders' Questions in the Dail yesterday afternoon.
Master escapologist The Great Endini had hung up his superhero suit and cape and was back in his usual place in the chamber, doing his level best to quiz the Taoiseach on economic matters without looking at the cog notes written on the back of his hand.
Also as usual, Brian Cowen was doing his level best not to openly scoff at Enda's efforts, while at the same time avoiding giving a direct answer to what was a simple and direct question about the financial farrago that is Anglo.
