Lise Hand: Shinners go all posh at swanky hotel as rivals play it low-key

ANOTHER day, another think-in. They all get a bit mixed up after the first few, to be honest. Yesterday the venue was a sumptuous suite in the swanky Shelbourne Hotel where an array of refreshments had been kindly laid out for the media.
There were nice chocolate chip cookies, pitchers of iced water served up in posh blue goblets, fresh coffee and all sorts of different teas such as Darjeeling and Rooibos and Jasmine.
So it was obviously the Fine Gael think-in. No, hang on -- that was in Galway last week. Hmmm -- was it Labour? Eh, they held their gathering in Carlow. Of course, sure wasn't it Fianna Fail who is always good at a bit of pizzazz? Nope. Fianna Fail did its thinking in the leafy surrounds of Tallaght a couple of days ago.
