Lise Hand: Palpitations and high pressure with doctor in the House

NO ONE ever told him there'd be days (or nights) like this.

One minute he's in Nicosia hobnobbing with his fellow EU health ministers, the next he's in the Dail chamber at 10pm going through the mortifying motions of explaining how he has acquired the dubious honour of being the first Cabinet minister to feature in the dreaded debtors' bible.

It's a long way from Cyprus to the department unfondly dubbed 'Angola' by former Ministerial refugee Brian Cowen -- not to mention the distance travelled from 'Scrubs' to 'Stubbs'.
