Lise Hand: Micheal is poor single fish in the barrel as Enda's boys take aim
Environment Minister Phil Hogan is an imposing figure, built as solidly as the proverbial wall of a brick outhouse. One almost expects small objects to vibrate at his distant approach, akin to the trembling that presaged the arrival of a large, fearsome creature in 'Jurassic Park'.
And Big Phil's a man known to play hardball in the political arena; he routed the party rebels in jig-time during Fine Gael's spot of domestic last summer, but now he's become embroiled in a scrap of a different kind, as he found himself sucked into the political primordial ooze emanating from the final Moriarty Report.
For the past week, the opposition -- notably Fianna Fail's Micheal Martin -- has made and flung merry mud-pies at the newly minted minister over his appearance in this gothic drama, making much of his role as party fundraiser during the period in question.
