Lise Hand: Lehman Defence raises ugly head again
ARE you Bemused of Bohola? Raging of Roosky? Gutted of Graiguenamanagh? It'd be entirely understandable to find oneself in the grip of one (or all) of these reactions in the wake of the arrival of yet another grisly report into the country's ghastly banking system.
The Nyberg Commission report is the latest chapter in the blockbusting Stephen King-sized horror story of the Irish banks -- but there are no real plot-twists or shocking revelations in this latest litany of woe, just the dry-as-dust prose of a cautious Finnish civil servant.
Even Finance Minister Michael Noonan was moved to remark that "the style of the Nyberg Report is that it's written very diplomatically".
