By golly it was like something from 'The Dukes of Hazzard'. The car screeched to a halt in the hotel driveway and out shot senator Joe O'Reilly tugging on his jacket as he took a mighty lep over the little fence and skidded breathlessly into the group photo.
It was an impressive show of loyalty from the Cavan man. The Fine Gael troops had gathered in the bucolic surroundings of Faithlegg House in Waterford for their annual Collective Cogitation, or 'think-in'.
But as they assembled on the hotel lawn for the opening 'family photograph' and press conference it looked like not all of the clan had gathered with the same eagerness as senator Joe.
