Lise Hand: Batt-man and Riddler Cowen dodge B-word

FAIR play to the Prof. The governor of the Central Bank was like a lighthouse cutting a bright dazzle through the murk and moil of a howling tempest.
While the Taoiseach was doing his best Riddler impression and Brian Lenihan and Batt O'Keeffe were making like a couple of Cincinnati Kids, Patrick Honohan proved that some involved in this dreadful debacle can communicate in clear, concise English as opposed to the gibberish, untruths, evasions, conundrums, impenetrable jargon and the occasional enigmatic haiku emanating from the government chorus-line.
Befuddled citizens who have been desperately trying to interpret the runes (or ruins) of the bank fallout, no doubt cheered over their cornflakes as at long last someone told it like it is. Patrick was crystal-clear on 'Morning Ireland' about what was going on between the Government and the IMF and ECB.
