Lise Hand: Act straight out of 'Mad Men' livens up Dail all-nighter

Perhaps it was boredom or cabin-fever after hours of debate on the abortion legislation which prompted Fine Gael’s Tom Barry to liven up proceedings in the wee small hours of the morning.

Night-owls watching a vote take place in the Dáil chamber on TV around 3am were startled to see the Cork East TD pull an unsuspecting colleague Áine Collins onto his lap as she passed by.

The footage clearly shows the Cork North-West deputy pause to chat to Tom who was sitting in the front row. He then grabbed Áine and hauled her onto his knee for a few moments before she sprang up and sped up the steps.
