Let someone walk all over you . . .

You see, this is what happens when you let people away with murder.

Let someone walk all over you once and then it becomes the norm. You are then in what is commonly known as an abusive relationship. We are now in an abusive relationship with the banks. And naturally, like everyone in an abusive relationship, we are tending to blame ourselves in some way.

The banks, who destroyed this country, and the Central Bank, which sat idly by and watched, assuring us all the time that everything was fine, seem to be blaming us too. To the point that the Central Bank had the gall to announce on Friday that we needed to be careful about assisting people who are in trouble with their mortgages, because it could lead to a "concern for policy".
