Labour's image takes battering with media sting

Three former Labour government ministers have been trapped in a classic media sting operation that showed them to be greedy, gullible and naive.
The reputation of Westminster politicians is so low that it can hardly fall any further, but the latest proof of their addiction to self-interest has infuriated Prime Minister Gordon Brown as he struggles to mount a credible general election campaign.
The ex-ministers -- Stephen Byers, Geoff Hoon and Patricia Hewitt -- can be seen on the Channel 4 'Dispatches' programme tonight allegedly selling their insider access within the government in exchange for payments of up to €5,500 a day.
