Kenny's finer points were lost in damp squib speech

Taoiseach Enda Kenny was as wooden as the panels of the interior wall of his office last night.
Before he even began speaking, Mr Kenny got immediate and massive brownie points for making his state-of-the-nation address.
Despite numerous appeals to set out the position to the public, his predecessor Brian Cowen never went down the route of a national address.
