Jack Black: We must all become leaders to shape a vision for Ireland

As Ireland peers over the muddied and storm-lashed trenches of the global economic crisis, it's clear what it needs more than ever, as it takes its first steps out of the wasteland of recession, is extraordinary and committed leadership.

The fallout from the IMF, Europe, the devastation of austerity, the strangulation of credit and limited lending to SMEs means that everything must be done to ensure each day is an improvement on the previous day.

Those who choose the role of leadership and those who have to do it, whether they like it or not, have a compelling responsibility to understand the critical nature of that responsibility.
