If this were FF, minister would be the chief heckler
THINK if Fianna Fail was still in power. A party supporter donates €1,000 to one of its best-known figures, and another €1,000 to a party senator.
A Fianna Fail minister, the well-known recipient of €1,000, then appoints this very generous donor -- who is an eminently qualified person -- to a part-time, state position that pays €12,500 a year.
The announcement of the appointment comes out late in the evening, after a day in which said FF minister trumpeted some popular measures, like a referendum on cutting judge's pay.
