Healing can only begin once Cowen steps down

We've spent the last three years waiting for answers from a leader who doesn't understand the questions, says Brendan O'Connor

WE WERE getting used to being angry with them. We were even getting used to the fact that they didn't seem to do anything, to react in any kind of urgent way, as it became clearer and clearer to most of us that the country was slipping over the edge.

But now it has taken a whole new turn.

There has never been this level of sadness and disillusionment and upset in this country. People are in shock, and traumatised. Who ever thought it was going to come to this? And how did it come to this?
