CREDIT where Credit is Due is what Fine Gael called its document on mortgage relief presented to the voters (and later made part of the Government programme) last February.
All sorts of great things were promised by FG in the run-up to the election, including increasing mortgage relief for the "negative equity generation" to allow savings of up to €166 per month.
Lots of homeowners for whom €166 is the difference between paying the heating/ food/phone bills or not, happily voted those brave Blueshirts in and waited, and waited.
