A table, a chair, a bowl of fruit and a violin; what else does a man need to be happy?
-- Albert Einstein
HE may have revolutionised the world of physics with his theory of general relativity, but the simplicity of the above quote confirms that Einstein also had an intrinsic understanding of an essential truth that is dawning on the majority of Irish people today. After years of generally losing the run of ourselves on loads of levels, the recession came along to painfully rip the layers of excess from us, in the manner of a particularly sadistic Brazilian waxer!
