IN the heat of general election battle, Michael Noonan lambasted the Labour Party for their attack on Fine Gael adding "wan you-ro on the bottal a wine".
At the time, Labour was running negative ads on Fine Gael's economic policies, such as the party's proposed €1 VAT increase on wine.
"To be taking ads in the national papers, deploring the fact that the big bad wolves in Fine Gael are going to put an extra euro on a bottle of wine and destroy your standard of living seems to me to be derisory.
