Enda plans on trip back west with 'Mr Maguire'

IT was all going swimmingly for the trio of happy politicians until somebody mentioned the C-word.

The Taoiseach was sitting at the table between Richard Bruton and Joan Burton, all three basking in a warm post-job announcement glow. On display were 200 shiny new jobs for Dundalk, courtesy of National Pen. Moreover, this was the day after the economy officially crawled out from under the recession rock.

But then Croker was invoked – or more specifically, the Dublin-Mayo All-Ireland showdown (or more specifically, Dublin v The Rest of Ireland contest).
