Eilish O'Regan: Doctor's orders to change HSE board fall far short of mark

'BE careful what you wish for" might be good advice in the wake of Health Minister James Reilly's lightning raid on the board of the Health Service Executive yesterday.
Instead of the outgoing group of independent nominees from a range of fields, the interim board will now be made up of civil servants and highly-paid HSE executives.
They may be well-intentioned but it is not a healthy mix to have salaried officials running the entire show, answerable to no watchdog.
